Description
This is a high-quality replica of the German World War II Kriegsmarine Close Combat Clasp (Nahkampfspange der Kriegsmarine), an award instituted to recognize naval personnel who engaged in direct hand-to-hand combat during the Second World War.
The clasp features the correct Kriegsmarine sword motif, framed by an oak-leaf bar with the central wreath and eagle design. The reverse carries historically accurate style markings, including “ENTWURF PEEKHAUS” and “AUSF SCHWERIN BERLIN 68”, closely replicating known wartime originals produced by Schwerin of Berlin.
This example is a post-war reproduction, intended strictly for display, reenactment, or educational use. It is not an original wartime award.
