Our Story
Armchair Generals began the same way most serious collections do—one piece at a time.
What started as a personal obsession with World War II history, militaria, and reference material grew into a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship, engineering, and stories behind the objects themselves. Helmets, documents, equipment, plans—each item told a story, not just of conflict, but of the people who made, carried, and relied on them.
As the collection grew, so did the realization that much of what collectors truly needed wasn’t being offered. Accurate references were hard to find. Scale pieces lacked historical grounding. Too much of the market favored novelty over knowledge.
Armchair Generals was created to change that.
We set out to build a place focused on historically grounded militaria and militaria-inspired collectibles—items designed for collectors who care about accuracy, context, and presentation.
